I was on the fence about buying these pants for a long time. After having a hard recovery from my 1st pregnancy, I knew I wanted to go into the recovery of my 2nd baby better prepared. After 1.5 weeks postpartum from a C section and following the advice of Expecting and Empowered Postpartum guide, I bought these pants. For the first time in both pregnancies, my belly supported! I wish I had bought the pregnancy band too during my pregnancies. Would definitely recommend these pants. Only thing that would make them better are pockets or else I would buy multiple of these. Advice: purchase these 1 week before or right after giving birth so you have a chance to figure out sizing. I originally bought a small and my 130lb 5’2” frame definitely did not fit a small so I returned and bought a medium.
Love these! I ended up having an unplanned C-section and these were (and still are) AMAZING! Love the high waist and all over compression. I definitely sized up compared to my other BaoBei products and am glad I did (wear a medium ProBump but ordered Large leggings). I am short (5'3") so these fit just above the ankle for me but I love that. Definitely worth it!
I was really on the fence about ordering these for myself because of the price, but I am SO glad I did. These are more comfortable than all my maternity leggings, regular leggings, ect. I have ONLY worn these post partum. I had polyhydroamnios and on babys birthday weighed 110 lbs over my normal weight. The amount of swelling and need for core support was unreal after my c section. The compression was exactly what I needed immediately and beyond post c section to help me heal. They are completely worth the investment.
I was so hesitant to purchase these because of the price tag, but I LIVED in the BaoBei belly band through my last 2 pregnancies and know the quality of the company's products. So I decided to get the black crop leggings and am so glad I did! They felt so good after my delivery. I didn't start to wear them until about 2 weeks postpartum to allow my stomach to shrink down a little bit first. But I've been wearing them constantly since then (currently 6 mo PP). The panel is firm and supportive and the leggings are a great fit. I am 5'9" 165# and ordered a M--what I normally would wear pre-pregnancy. I went back and forth several times about whether I should order a M or L, but the M ended up being perfect; I like the snug fit of the panel. I definitely recommend these! The only thing that would make them better is pockets!
So...let me start by admitting that I'm not one to splurge on myself, so I was a little hesitant spending this kind of money on some leggings. I'm cheap, I get it. :) I did, however, take the words of advice from a few other mom-friends who had purchased these and swore by them. I used a new member discount code and saw on Instagram that they were going to offer these in a new darker teal color (Lagoon). Once the new color was released, I got a black pair (goes with anything!) and the Lagoon (truly, beautiful!). I originally ordered a size medium, which is what I typically wear. I'm 5'6" and weigh around 180 at 7 mo. pregnant. Once they came in, I stupidly tried them on...let me tell ya, they're not for a baby belly! Lol. I decided, even with the birth of a child, I probably needed to size up. I'm glad I did, too, because I just got the larges in and they will fit great (snug, but not like a freakin' sausage) once my kiddo arrives. They're a nice, smooth legging and high quality material. I will say that the seam around the pelvic and butt area (kind of their "waistband" area) do sit a bit low, like pregnancy underwear. I'm guessing I'll be grateful for that, should I need a C-section. If you're kind of on the frugal side, like me, get the discount code and don't look back. You'll like these...and they're worth it!
